The best turntable platter mat

After hours of very delicate work, tonearm and phono cartridge the best possible setup is done, finally. The tonearm is parallel with the plater, azimuth is adjusted, VTA is adjusted, VTF is adjusted, anti-skating is adjusted, and phono cartridge is alignment. Everything is done as best as possible. 

That's the best that we can do without spending thousands of dollars for a special camera, microscope and computer software for all these settings and alignments.

It’s not. As my friend said "it can always be better", there is always something more that we can do to make the sound better and get the maximum out of our expensive audio gear. Even when all very delicate adjustments are done by using various instruments and tools, it is still possible to do super fine-tuning "by ear". 

What is this about ?

Our new STM-22 plater mat is an adjustable turntable mat. This is the first time in the history of vinyl records and turntables.

Have you ever heard about that ? Probably not.  

This is an excellent and instantly sound-improving accessory. 

 

STM-22 plater mat can be used on any kind of turntable, belt drive, direct drive or rim drive. The diameter of the mat is similar to an LP vinyl record as shown in the pictures.

How plater mat works ?! 

​

The mat itself is 1.50 mm thick. As a part of the mat, several additional layers can be subsequently applied on the mat already installed on the plater. In process of superfine sound tuning, the original thickness of the mat can be reduced and made the mat slightly thinner as well.

Conclusion: the thickness of the STM-22 mat can be reduced or increased and thus "by ear" determine the best thickness of the mat for your turntable and most important, the best SRA and super fine adjust VTA ("by ear" means by listening).
